Hospital of the University of Penn MedicineCrisis Response Center

Description

The inception of the HUP Crisis Response Center marked a transformative journey, commencing with the meticulous demolition of existing spaces, including the formidable 9-inch thick concrete vault. Introducing a heightened level of accessibility, the center boasts distinct entrances—one catering to walk-ins and another designed for seamless ambulance/police escort arrivals. The CRC is a multifaceted facility, seamlessly weaving together various patient spaces tailored for consultation, observation, waiting areas, and dedicated staff and clinical support spaces. Elevating the overall experience, both entrances now feature a new exterior canopy, lending a touch of modernity and functionality. The exterior site has undergone a comprehensive face lift, encompassing updates to the driveway, ramp, and a series of exterior enhancements. This holistic approach not only enhances the physical space but also signifies a commitment to creating a streamlined, state-of-the-art Crisis Response Center at HUP.
