Children’s Hospital of Philadelphia
Cell & Gene Therapy Lab
This project involved the construction of a new Cell & Gene Therapy Laboratory designed to support advanced cellular manufacturing and research. The state-of-the-art facility includes two clean rooms, a quality control (QC) laboratory, a liquid nitrogen (LN2) supply room, and a dedicated freezer room. To support the specialized laboratory environment, the project incorporated critical MEP infrastructure, including a liquid nitrogen distribution system, supply and exhaust air systems, compressed air and carbon dioxide services, and continuous equipment monitoring. The laboratory was also outfitted with advanced processing equipment, including seven CliniMACS systems, two COBE Cell Processors, three Class II Biological Safety Cabinets, and two plasma expressors, creating a highly functional space that meets the demanding requirements of cell and gene therapy operations.
