Description
Houston Market serves a large contingent of the University of Pennsylvania staff. The twelve-week schedule was double shifted and critical since school was reopening and services were essential for students, faculty, and staff. We started with a complete demolition of the kitchen and replacement of all kitchen equipment as well as new mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and fire protection. Underground sanitary lines were removed and new lines were installed to accommodate new equipment. All new architectural millwork throughout, ceilings with soffits, and new lighting. We also performed extensive work on the concrete slab, reconditioned the existing stone walls, concrete walls, and deck. Replaced 75% of the terrazzo flooring and installed active wall folding gates and set rite sliding mesh at the restaurant spaces. Project was completed on time with supervision and subcontractor coordination essential components.
