Description
A support space for the CHOP Main Campus, the Observation Unit adds (16) inpatient beds to the hospital. The unit’s primary purpose is to provide care and evaluation to patients who would otherwise not meet the inpatient admission status to a more acute unit (i.e. NICU, PICU, CCU). The project included the use of a newly specified Hospital Systems, Inc. (HSI) integrated headwall system, Horton Manufacturing aluminum and sliding glass ICU capable patient room doors, and custom fabricated mill-work at the (2) nurse command stations. Finishes in the unit include a tasteful appointment of color and “kid” friendly patterns.
