Children’s Hospital of PhiladelphiaMain Stokes Auditorium

Description

This project was a 4,200 SF renovation to a 54-year-old auditorium. The scope consisted of full architectural and MEP demolition, in preparation for upgrading the space and infrastructure to meet modern day accessibility and code requirements. The auditorium’s capacity was expanded to 291-seats. The interior finishes included custom wood ceiling and acoustical wall panel systems, which were methodically coordinated to maintain performance, architectural appearance, and overall functionality of the space. Additionally, the project included complete upgrades to the electrical, mechanical, and A/V systems. The entire renovation was completed while adjacent to the hospital’s active Sleep Study department and above Sterile Processing. Therefore, we worked with these sensitive departments to strategically plan and accommodate different requests while maintaining the overall original schedule.
