Mertz Hall

Target Building proudly assumed the role of Construction Manager for the two-phased renovation of the residence hall, gracefully positioned at the western extremity of the campus, just off Route 320. This project, which unfolded over two consecutive summers, addressed crucial improvements aimed at rejuvenating the building’s envelope. The scope encompassed comprehensive overhauls of the mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and interior finishes, along with essential roofing work. As part of this ambitious endeavor, our dedicated team embarked on a revitalization journey that extended to the façade, where a new glazing system, inclusive of striking windows and exterior doors, was skillfully installed. This undertaking marked the first comprehensive renovation of the 140-room residence hall since its initial opening in 1981. The first phase, executed with precision and dedication, reached its successful conclusion in mid-August, just in time for the returning students to commence their academic pursuits in an enhanced and welcoming environment
