Description
This 12,000 SF laboratory renovation project was performed while maintaining functionality in a fully occupied research facility and vivarium. Further, during construction, the COVID-19 pandemic struck, necessitating working closely with OSHA, governmental agencies, suppliers and the trades, to maintain a safe working environment and the project schedule.
To one side of the central corridor, a large, open laboratory is the focal point. In this laboratory, fixed perimeter casework surround rows of movable island benches. Support rooms, which are directly across the central corridor, include environmental chambers, storage, glass-wash room, flex labs and a large conference room.
