Swarthmore College
Singer Hall
This 1,320 square-foot fit-out embarked on a transformational journey, re-imagining the Swarthmore College’s Biology Research/Teaching Lab into a contemporary hub of innovation and learning. The project scope was comprehensive, covering MEPFP rough-ins and refined finishes, skillfully integrated into the existing building infrastructure. Additionally, the initiative included the installation of an advanced A/V and tele/data system to bolster the lab’s technological capabilities. Architecturally, the project brought forth an exquisite fusion of form and function, featuring bespoke architectural and lab casework, magnetic glass marker boards, and tasteful window treatments. The space was further elevated with acoustical and exposed ceilings, culminating in a seamless sheet vinyl floor that not only enhances the aesthetics but also ensures practicality and durability. It’s worth noting that this endeavor was successfully executed amidst the stringent COVID-19 safety standards, all while students were in the process of returning to the Swarthmore College campus, a testament to our unwavering commitment to creating inspiring spaces for education.
