Solis Cohen Classroom Renovations

Our Target Building team completed a project at Thomas Jefferson University’s Center City campus, focusing on a learning space. The project began with the demolition of a 120-foot masonry wall, soaring 27 feet from floor to ceiling. The Solis Classroom underwent a makeover, featuring a versatile array of student and conference tables designed to facilitate diverse learning experiences. The flooring received a complete overhaul, with plush carpet tiles enhancing the classroom and a sleek epoxy floor gracing the hallway. To ensure a modern, sleek learning environment, we installed five new electrical panels, down lighting, exterior floodlights, cameras, and projectors for the TV screens. For optimal functionality, the surrounding storefront glazing system was equipped with Meca shades to complement the new AV system, while computer screens were strategically positioned along the classroom’s perimeter. A notable structural enhancement involved raising the floor system by three feet to accommodate students comfortably. This project stands as a testament to our commitment to fostering educational spaces.
