Virtua Health
Tatem Brown Family Practice Center
The Tatem Brown renovation, a meticulous one-year, four-phase project for Virtua in South Jersey, transformed a commercial office space into a state-of-the-art medical facility. This ambitious endeavor included adding nine rooftop air handling units, demolishing existing offices, and creating a sophisticated reception area, laboratories, and exam rooms. The facility operated seamlessly during construction, a testament to our commitment to flawless execution. In the first phase, a strategic relocation of patients and staff occurred, with a demising wall constructed to preserve patient care during construction. Raised flooring was removed to integrate new sanitary waste lines, filled with high-density structural foam and a 5-inch concrete overlay. Structural enhancements, including steel members added to the existing bar joist framing, supported the newly integrated air handling units. Upon completing phase one, medical staff seamlessly transitioned to the renovated area. Impressively, the four-phase project concluded within the one-year time frame, maintaining 100% occupancy and achieving substantial completion, surpassing expectations.
